The date, without opening anything

Signing a form, naming a file, booking a call: a dozen times a day something wants to know the date, and the answer is buried in a menu. Day puts it on the desktop in dots you can read without leaning in, with a bar underneath that fills as the hours pass.

Week number and day of the year

The large size adds the week number and the day of the year. If your team plans in weeks — W42, W43 — that number stops being something you have to look up. The day of the year is the quieter one: a reminder of how much of it you've already spent.

Three sizes

Small stacks the weekday, the date and the month into a square. Medium writes the weekday out in full and adds the day bar. Large gives you all of it: the day, the date, the month and year, the bar, the week number and the day of the year.

How to add it

Download Flapdot and drag it into your Applications folder.
Open the app and choose a theme for the date board.
Right-click your desktop on an empty spot, and choose Edit Widgets.
Search for Flapdot pick Day and drag the size you want onto the desktop.
