A departures board for your team

Working across time zones means doing arithmetic in your head all day, and getting it wrong often enough to be embarrassing. World Board does it for you. Every city you care about sits on your Mac desktop with its current time beside it, stacked the way an airport lists departures, and the dots flip the moment a minute turns over.

Your cities, in your order

Choose from 68 cities across every time zone, plus whatever city your Mac is set to, and arrange them the way you read them: home at the top, the office below, the client last. Each city keeps its own daylight saving rules, because the times come straight from macOS.

Three sizes

Medium holds four cities beside your other widgets. Large shows eight, which is enough for most teams. Extra-large spreads seven across a wide board with room to breathe, big enough to read from across the room.

How to add it

  1. Download Flapdot and drag it into your Applications folder.
  2. Open the app and add your cities, in the order you want to read them.
  3. Right-click your desktop on an empty spot, and choose Edit Widgets.
  4. Search for Flapdot pick World Board and drag the size you want onto the desktop.

Sizes

World Board comes in Medium, Large and Extra Large. macOS lets you drop the same widget on the desktop more than once, so you can keep a small one beside your notes and a large one where you'll see it from the sofa.

Themes

All eight themes work with World Board: Midnight, Obsidian, Paper, Matcha, Lemon, Sky, Amber, Phosphor. Four of them glow the way a real dot display does; the rest are flat and quiet. Set one for the whole app, or give this widget its own.

Eight, on the large size. Medium shows four and the wide extra-large board shows seven. Add as many cities as you like in the app and the widget shows the first ones in your order.
